The things people
ask us most.
Hours, pricing, jug sizes, delivery, and what alkaline water actually is — answered plainly. Anything not covered here, just call us.
Visiting the store
We're open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and closed on Sundays. The vending machine outside the store is available whenever we're closed.
513 Washington Blvd, Marina Del Rey, CA 90291 — on Washington between Venice and the marina, with street parking right out front.
Our plaza has its own parking lot, so you can pull right in. If the lot is full there's plenty of street parking just outside it. The plaza also has two handicap spaces, available to any customer who needs them.
No. Walk in any time we're open. If you're new to alkaline water, we'll take the time to walk you through it — there's no rush and no pressure to buy.
Refills, jugs & pricing
Alkaline water is $2.75 per gallon, refilled in-store into whatever jug you bring.
Yes — regular water is 75¢ per gallon and is sold only from the vending machine outside the store. The regular side of the machine is cash only.
Either works. Bring a clean jug you already own and we'll fill it, or pick one up here and refill it as often as you like. We carry sizes from a half gallon up to a full 5 gallon.
Jug prices vary quite a bit, so it's best to call or stop in. We stock seven different 5-gallon bottles alone, and pricing shifts with what our wholesalers are charging at the time we restock. We'll show you the options and what each one costs when you come in.
No — jugs are purchased to keep, and we don't run an exchange or deposit program. If yours is getting old or hard to clean, replacing it is entirely your call. We'll give you an honest heads-up when we think one is due.
Delivery
We deliver weekly to Marina Del Rey and Venice, with a 5-gallon minimum per delivery. We don't currently serve areas outside those two neighborhoods.
Send us a delivery request through the contact form or give us a call at (310) 306-6400. We'll confirm your address is in range and get you on the weekly route.
About the water
Alkaline water simply has a higher pH than ordinary tap water. Ours sits at a stable pH of 9 to 10, because it finishes its filtration by passing through Bio-Cal ceramic — a material made from pulverized seashell, pearl, and coral that leaves ionic calcium, magnesium, and potassium behind in the water. It's the same process that mineralizes spring water underground, run in a controlled way. Most people notice it tastes smoother and less flat than tap water. Beyond that, we'd rather you taste it and decide for yourself than make claims we can't back up.
A stable pH of 9 to 10. "Stable" matters — the mineral content holds the pH there rather than drifting back down as the water sits.
Our water runs through a seven-stage system built around FDA-safety-tested Bio-Cal ceramic technology, including reverse osmosis, dual carbon, a sterilized holding tank, and a final polish before it reaches your jug. And you're refilling into a container you reuse instead of buying cases of single-use plastic.
Home systems & payment
Yes. We install and service the Alka-Pi systems ourselves, including filter changes down the line. Call us and we'll talk through which unit fits your home and set up the install.
In the store we take cards, tap to pay, and cash. At the outside vending machine, the alkaline side accepts cards, but the regular water side is cash only.
Still have a question?
